Items to Bring to Fall & Winter Sessions
Please feel free to bring your favorite items for your room, your own hair and grooming products, makeup, and inexpensive jewelry – that you wear at all times (necklace, earrings– maximum of two pair; rings – maximum two; bracelet – maximum one; no other jewelry or piercing jewelry) please. We want you to be comfortable and at ease and enjoy your time at Christmas Creek Village. Be sure to bring your choice of stuffed animal for your bed!
When packing please keep in mind the following:
- Clothing should be modest (no low necklines; no portion of mid-drift or belly area showing)
- Under-garments should be covered/not showing
- No “holey” pants or shorts, including designer jeans with holes and shreds
- Please keep summer shorts modest (at or near the finger-tips when standing straight – no short shorts)
- Bring a couple changes of dress clothes for church
- Please leave radios, CD & DVD, cell phones and all electronic equipment at home
Packing List:
- 4 tops & bottoms pajamas casual (sweats OK)
- 5 jeans (blue) or khaki (tan/stone) pants (traditional) or cargo pants
- 2 pair jeans (blue) or khaki shorts (fingertip length)
- 2 gray t-shirts (must be hip-length) NO LOGOS PLEASE MUST BE PLAIN & COMPLETELY GRAY
- 1 gray sweatshirt NO LOGOS PLEASE MUST BE PLAIN & COMPLETELY GRAY
- 1 hooded gray sweatshirt NO LOGOS PLEASE MUST BE PLAIN & COMPLETELY GRAY
- 10 pair socks white
- 10 pair underwear white (no thongs)
- 4 bras white
- 2 skirt outfits or dresses for church (dress pants & shirt are aoso fine)
- 2 pair flip-flops or sandals
- 1 pair tennis shoes (not high top)
- 1 pair dress shoes (for church outfit – sandals are fine for the summer)
- 1 light jacket or sweat pull-over
- Inexpensive WATERPROOF watch with NO ALARMS OR TIMERS
- Guitar or musical instrument
- 2 Books Stamps
- Back Pack for lake & hiking activities
- 1 package sticky tack adhesive
- Personal feminine items (enough for 2 months)
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Brush & Comb
- Deodorant
- Shower Soap
- Shower Tote (large enough for bath & shower items)
- Toothpaste & (1) Toothbrush
- Lotion
- Facial Needs
- 1 Set Sheet & Pillowcase twin; you may bring your own blanket, pillow, and bedcover (comforter/quilt)
- 2 bath towels WHITE
- 2 washcloths WHITE
- NON-USED disposable camera
- Water proof (NOT water-resistant) insulated hiking (& snow) boots
- 2 pair mittens
- 2 pair gloves
- 1 cold weather hat
- 1 muffler/scarf
- 3 pair insulated socks for outdoor wear
- 1 pair long-johns (shirt & pants, 2 piece)
- 1 PRACTICAL cold weather outdoor coat
Other Notes:
Parents/Guardians may donate Christian CD’s, movies, or books to Christmas Creek Library
You may bring your choice of Bible and BLANK writing materials
Please do not bring books or magazines.
No Belts Please
You may bring modest makeup & modest (soft) shades and tones.
No nail polish or hair spray please.
Insurance regulations do not permit candles or any items that burn
ALL items should be marked with a permanent marker with your name. For your benefit, all items will be listed on a written inventory when you arrive as our guest. Any extra items not listed on the “Items to bring will be kept in “inventory” for safe-keeping.
Of course, you will not bring any dangerous items, firearms, candles, etc. This common sense list of items not to bring includes any drugs, drug apparatus, or any prescriptions not prescribed specifically for your current use.
